Historique :	Il s'agit certainement de saint Mammès bien que soit évoqué pour l'église de Notre-Dame-de-Cenilly , une statue de saint Wandrille, abbé de Fontenelle, invoqué pour la guérison des hernies. Hippolyte Gancel explique le glissement d'iconographie : "une confusion s'est largement répandue entre "saint Wandrille" et "saint Ventrille" ainsi appelé parce qu'il est réputé guérir les maux de ventre, les coliques notamment. Or, ce saint Ventrille est représenté dans la statuaire en martyr portant ses entrailles dans ses mains. Autrement dit, sous les traits d'un saint Mammès."
