Historique :	Cette statue de la fin du 15e siècle fut cachée dans la tour pendant la Révolution. Une légende dans la commune veut qu'on l'ait trouvée au bord de la mer et que les boeufs qui la transportèrent voulurent s'arrêter. Elle peut simplement avoir été sculptée assez loin et apportée par bateau dans le Cotentin.
