Historique :	Vierge provenant de la chapelle de l'Epine à Cerisy-la-Forêt. D'après B. Béranger-Menand, elle se place dans la tradition des Vierges de Majesté du 13e siècle, et peut notamment être rapprochée de la Vierge à l'Enfant du Mont-Saint-Michel, qui provient du prieuré de Ballant à Vessey. Statue ayant subi une importante intervention en 1854, d'après les archives : les têtes et la majeure partie du groupe pourraient avoir été re-sculptées à cette période.
