Historique :	Statue datée du 17e, ou bien du début du 19e siècle. Elle provient de la chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Flots au Becquet, lieu de culte rendu à l'usage profane et redonné au Conseil général en juin 1996. Elle fut alors déplacée dans la chapelle Saint-Gabriel, attenante au presbytère de la rue Médéric. C'est en 1950 que cette statue fut donnée à la chapelle Notre-Dame par M. Henri Magne, musicien et antiquaire à Caen. En juin 1950, Mgr Guyot est venu la bénir.
