Historique :	La statue de saint Siméon est un exemple d'art populaire. Le type de cette sculpture est peut-être à rapprocher de celui de Morsalines.

Précision sur_l'état :	Le 21 juillet 1976, deux colonnes ont été inscrites MH à l'église Notre-Dame de Portbail (voir PM50005224) : elles ont été remployées par la suite pour améliorer ce retable. Les deux pots à feu, deux cartouches et la gloire étaient déposés dans la sacristie au moment de l'arrêté. Un pot à feu, photographié démonté en avril 1974, a été réutilisé lors de la restauration. Les frontons à cartouches ont été réutilisés dans le tabernacle mis dans la sacristie (voir la notice PM50003510). Statue de saint Siméon en chêne polychrome sous badigeon.
