Précision sur l'inscription :	Epitaphe : D.O.M. ici repose M(ait)re NOEL le CHEVALIER cure Dequeurdreville ne a Barneville le 24 decembre 1754. La purete de ses moeurs sa piété lui meriterent l'estime de ses contemporains. Scrupuleusement attache a ses devoirs, il joignit l'exemple au precepte, edifia les fideles confies a ses soins, et fut pendant 40 ans leur pere spirituel et leur ami. il cessa de vivre le 10 mars 1821. La paix du Seigneur soit avec lui. Nicolas le Chevalier a consacre a son frere ce Monument de sa reconnaissance, de ses regrets et de son affection.
