Historique :	Statue à rapprocher d'un ensemble de statues en terre cuite de même époque, présentant des caractéristiques techniques et stylistiques similaires, probablement produites dans les ateliers de potiers statuaires de Saussemesnil, par exemple à Canteloup (saint Hubert), Crasville (saint Grégoire ou Sylvestre), Grosville (saint Martin), Huberville (saint Pierre), Tamerville (saint Charles Borromée), Morville (saint Pair), Octeville l'Avenel (saint Vincent évêque), Sénoville (saint Lô), et peut-être aussi à La Feuillie (saint Nicolas), et Montreuil-sur-Lozon (saint évêque).
