Historique :	Oeuvre exécutée vers 1615 par un artiste d'une école locale de sculpture dite 'Ecole du Marais de Gorges'. Dans la 2e moitié du 18e siècle, cette statue a été remplacée dans le choeur de l'église par une autre statue de saint Louis en bois polychrome, qui se trouve maintenant dans la chapelle nord du transept.
