Historique :	Louis Tesson était sculpteur à Carentan. Louis Sextius de Jarente de la Bruyère (1706-1788), fut évêque d'Orléans (1758 à 1788), et abbé commendataire de Saint-Wandrille (1760 à 1785). Il fit don de la chaire. Ses armoiries ont été remplacées par une inscription en lettres d'or au 19e siècle.
